As a professional graphic designer, my aim is to represent the essence of a business while tailoring the message to a target audience. I received a Associates Degree at Palm Beach State College and started at a Florida newspaper when I was 18. During my career, I have worked in every phase of the print industry from an adverting agency to a small print shop.
After a layoff in 2000, I started Impact Design to provide quality design services at reasonable rates. My philosophy can be defined in three words – Inform, Innovate and Inspire! The goal becomes keeping consistency from print product through digital media. Since 2007, I have worked with 50plus Marketplace News as their graphic designer, production manager, and for a time was their webmaster.
As an award-winning designer, I have designed numerous and various print media from black and white newspaper advertising to full color brochures, including editorial design, sales and marketing materials, and slide show presentations. I am also a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and live north of Denver, Colorado with my husband, Tim.
As a photographer I am fascinated by texture, I look for pealing paint and natural patterns and sometimes add props of wicker, metal or fabric to photograph. Using these unique images, I add inspirational and motivational quotes to create one of a kind, truly unique prints that are available download instantly at my Etsy Shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ImpactImpressions/. The same images have inspired a line of greeting cards and plans for other products in the works.
My interest’s extend to other areas of creativity, including most crafts, and have a side project at www.encoreblues.com a blog site started because I up-cycle denim into housewares and accessories and wanted to share my journey. It is currently being redesigned.
